Just a quick introduction so you have a better idea who you're dealing with. I work with weed science programs and related activities in both Agronomy and Entomology. During the summer I'm busy with herbicide demonstration plots at the North Iowa Research Farm in Kanawha, other weed research projects, coaching the ISU Weed Science Team, and dealing with herbicide injury and weed ID samples that are submitted to Agronomy Extension. As the weather turns colder, I shift to the Pesticide Applicator Education program and the IPM group in Entomology Extension.

I'm a native "Iowegian" from Garner. Born and raised on a grain and livestock farm, I occasionally return for a weekend of work and a reality check (and to satisfy my cravings to operate some John Deere machinery!) I received my BS from Iowa State in Agricultural Business with a minor in Agronomy, and followed that with an MS in Agronomy/Weed Science. My research involved the influence of soybean row spacing and postemergence herbicide timing on control of foxtail.
